The Faculty
Welcome to the University of Wales Faculty web pages. The University Council approved the establishment of a Faculty in December 2009, to support the University’s work in collaborative provision. The Faculty is headed by the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Learning, Teaching and Enhancement), Professor Nigel Palastanga, and is made up of three Schools:
-
School of Arts and Humanities
-
School of Business and Law
-
School of STEM
Each School is headed by a Dean, who is a senior academic, supported by Senior Lecturers/Lecturers and staff from University of Wales Alliance institutions who act as moderators. Each moderator will be an honorary member of the University’s Faculty.
Faculty staff support collaborative centres by acting as moderators, participating in validation and review exercises, and developing staff in their subject areas. Each member of the Faculty will also maintain and update their own teaching skills and/or research activity.
