Innovation Training

Taking Wales to the World... and the world to Wales

The Global Academy runs an innovation training residential course twice a year; in amazing locations such as Gregynog Hall in mid-Wales.  The residential innovation training courses are free to companies, scholars and academics working with the Global Academy.

They focus on four main themes

  • innovation policy and management
  • entrepreneurship
  • project management
  • intellectual property (IP) commercialisation.

POWIS Scholar Pavan Addepalli discusses his research with Stephen F. Brown, Senior Lecturer at MIT Sloan School

The residential programmes and course sessions are run by some of world’s leading thinkers, e.g. academics from MIT Sloan School. These events are carefully programmed to support wider innovation and R&D needs, for example previous events have included ‘How to apply for R&D Tax Credits’, What IP is worth protecting and which IP isn’t worth protecting?’, ‘How to develop a truly global sales strategy?’ and ‘How to build and manage a new innovation team’.
