Throughout the year, UW Global Academy will:

Update your company on MIT’s activities in areas you identify as of interest.

Introduce you to MIT innovations and knowledge that could affect your business.

Recommend and help you implement other actions to meet your objectives such as visiting MIT.
*Normal price of MIT ILP Membership for any company, regardless of size, is $60K per annum; for POWIS companies it is completely free (excluding travel to and from Wales to MIT, and accommodation and meals when visiting the MIT campus, other venue hosting an ILP event)
Here are some examples of services your MIT ILP membership can provide to help improve your company’s innovation knowledge and expertise:|

Arrange private meetings with MIT faculty, research staff and students: (excluding travel to and accommodation at MIT):

UW Global Academy can arrange and facilitate meetings at MIT for your managers with individual faculty members, research staff or students. Usually these meetings last about an hour each and are combined into half-day or full-day visits or video-conferences.

If your company is interested in sponsoring research at MIT or engaging MIT faculty members as consultants, UW Global Academy can introduce you to faculty and research staff with applicable expertise and facilitate discussions between your staff and faculty and research staff on how to collaborate on challenges of mutual interest. Furthermore, your ILO will inform you of new faculty members and new MIT research on an ongoing basis.
MIT offers special educational programs ranging from one-week short courses to year-long master’s programs in management and in engineering. UW Global Academy can help you identify existing programs that meet the educational and development needs of your staff.
In addition, UW Global Academy can identify and introduce your company to MIT faculty and programs willing to develop custom educational programs meeting your company’s needs.

Technology and the Corporation Conference Series
ILP conferences are free for representatives of ILP member companies, and are designed to keep you in touch with research developments and issues affecting your industry. Approximately 8-10 conferences are planned each year, and provide research findings and presentations by leading experts.

The ILP KnowledgeBase, accessed via the ILP Web site, serves as a key resource for ILP company members. Enabling direct access to comprehensive information within seconds, this on-line database also serves easy access to data on approximately 1,000 MIT faculty members, 7,000 research projects, and over 100 departments, labs and centres, KnowledgeBase users can quickly:

Past Events Archive and Online Library
If you are unable to attend a particular conference, the ILP makes conference content available via the members-only Past Events Archive on the ILP website. Your company also receives access to ILP online publications that offer news and insights from the MIT R&D community as well as literature describing the ILP and its member company services. Available only to ILP members, the ILP Library collection includes:

issues of the ILP Edition of MIT Technology Insider, an electronic monthly reporting on recent MIT research and analyzing the impact of emerging technologies

ILP literature including member guides and a guide to recruiting and hiring MIT students

working papers by MIT researchers in PDF format
