Visiting Innovators
Taking Wales to the World... and the world to Wales
The Global Academy is currently working with key organisations to secure funds for its Visiting Innovators Programme (VIP).
VIP will bring leading innovators from some of world’s top universities and global companies to Wales in order to help Welsh companies increase their innovation capacity, widen their global networks and markets, and transfer specialist industry skills to the key economic sectors in Wales.
VIP was piloted in 2009 with the help of Prof. Andrew Barron|, the Charles W. Duncan, Jr. - Welch Chair of Chemistry and Professor of Materials Science at Rice University, Texas. As a result of this he was awarded a Visiting Professorship of the University of Wales in 2010.
