Student Complaints
Any student enrolled on a validated programme leading to an award of the University of Wales is able to use the University’s Complaint Procedure.
The procedure covers many areas of the student experience and may apply to complaints arising from a student’s educational experience, complaints in respect of academic or administrative support and allegations of harassment or discrimination by staff.
This procedure does not apply to appeals| against academic decisions or fitness to practice decisions| for which separate University of Wales procedures exist.
In all cases the University would aim to see complaints resolved within a student’s institution and with minimum formality, where this is not possible, however, this procedure should be used.
The National Union for Students (NUS) has recently produced a Charter on Institutional Complaints and Appeals Procedures|
