Support for Moderators
Moderators will be guided and supported in their role by:
-
UW Quality Handbook and Regulations;
-
Staff in the Validation Unit
-
UW Academic Faculty;
-
Moderator Champions;
-
Moderator web pages/electronic handbook;
-
Annual Moderators Conference and regional meetings;
-
Regular e-Updates, Quality News and email circulars.
You will be sent updated documentation on an annual basis and invited to attend the annual moderators’ conference in April of each year. In addition, we organise regional moderator meetings throughout January and February. E-Updates and other circulars are emailed on a regular basis to keep you updated with news and developments.
As a moderator, you will automatically join the University of Wales Honorary Faculty which comprises three schools: Arts & Humanities, Business & Law and STEM; each headed by a Dean. If you have any concerns or queries of an academic nature in relation to the collaborative centre, you will be able to speak to a member of the relevant School.
For guidance on any of the following areas; learning, teaching and assessment (LTA), flexible and distributed learning (FDL), research, learning resources, key skills, student engagement or PDP, please also make use of the moderator champions.
