Validation Process

Once the University has agreed that a validation submission can be made, a moderator-designate will be appointed to support the college through the validation process. The moderator designate has the following responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and commenting on the draft validation submission, by completing the moderator designate feedback form;
  • Attending the validation event in an observer capacity;
  • Working with the collaborative centre in order to address any conditions/recommendations set by the validation panel;
  • Conducting a post-validation visit.

Prospective institutions are provided with information on the requirements of a validation submission as part of the Quality Handbook. Moderators review the submission from an academic perspective and Validation Officers review the submission from a regulatory perspective.

As a moderator designate, you will be guided in your role by staff in the Validation Unit and Faculty.
