WP Thomas and WD Clee Scholarship

 

Eligibility

Candidates:

  •  graduate of the University of Wales who proposes to pursue advanced study or research in Music
  •  if no suitable candidate for an award in Music, the Scholarship may be awarded to a candidate in Welsh Literature or Welsh History
  •  born or have resided for ten years in one of the following places:

     o Abercrave

     o Ystradgynlais

     o Ystalyfera

     o Cwmtwrch

     o Cwmllynfell

     o Brynamman

     o Pontardawe

     o the administrative area of the Rhondda.

 

Location

Tenable at:

  • Accredited Institution of the University of Wales
  • in the case of a Music scholar, at the Royal College of Music, or at the Royal Academy of Music, or at some other British or foreign institution approved for the purpose by the University of Wales.

Amount

  • £2000
  • tenable for one year
  • may be renewed for a second year
  • holder of the Scholarship shall not be precluded from holding other scholarships or exhibitions.
