Teaching Fellowships Awards 2009/10

There can be little doubt that the pilot for the Teaching Fellowship scheme has been a success. Not only have we been able to identify some excellent teaching practice and reward colleagues accordingly, we are beginning to build a community to help promote and support this excellence throughout the University’s global network of, teachers, scholars and learners. We are very pleased to announce the first University of Wales Teaching Fellows as:

Bearing in mind the need for continual improvement, we have invited feedback on this pilot from colleagues who have participated in various aspects of this initiative. The scheme will be offered again for session 2010/11, as an extended pilot. Taking into account the recommendations received and our own reflections, this round will include new features, such as allowing applicants the option of applying as a team and additional support for learning and teaching at Collaborative Centres, should they nominate a successful applicant.

The University remains grateful to colleagues who have supported this initiative, it is proud of the teaching provided on programmes leading to its awards and looks forward to once again, celebrating the achievements of teaching and support staff who contribute to this.
