Student Networks

The University of Wales Alliance Student Forum, (UWASF), formed at the start of the 2009/10 academic year and was originally made up of the Presidents of the Students’ Unions of the University of Wales’ Alliance institutions.

Its original aim was to come together to share experiences and support each other and form a sense of ownership of the University of Wales and to create a relationship between the students of the Alliance institutions.

Following its formation, the Forum took on the responsibilities of creating a Student Submission for the Quality Assurance Agency|. This took the shape of a written submission and provided data, collated by the forum through focus groups at all Alliance institutions and some of the University of Wales’ Collaborative Centres. A student submission provides the students with a voice, to air their thoughts and ultimately shape their education.

The group will continue to develop further this year with the aim to create an Annual Statement to conclude the activities of the year.
