German Branch - Upcoming Events

As in previous years, spring brings two very important events for the German branch of the University of Wales Alumni Association.

With a membership of over 220 members, it has grown over the years to offer networking opportunities and a substantial academic resource for both German University of Wales Alumni and German-speaking graduates who hold University of Wales’ awards.

Thursday 1st May – Celebration Party for the German Graduates, Cardiff
All German Alumni members who are attending this years’ Graduation Celebration in Cardiff are invited by the German Branch to celebrate their achievements following the event at Henry’s Café Bar in Cardiff. The evening will start at 6:00pm, and is a good opportunity to highlight the benefits of their Alumni organisation to potential members.

Saturday 10th May - Annual Symposium, Cologne
The 2014 annual symposium of the German Branch will take place at a top location in the Centre of Cologne, the Dorint Hotel am Heumarkt Köln

The agenda for the day will be as follows:

09:00  Get together
09:30  Welcome and introduction by Dr. Martina Nieswandt
09:45  Wie treffen Menschen Entscheidungen? - Paper by Sinisa Trisic
11:15  Coffee break
11:30  Neue Trends: Wie Personal heute für Stellen ausgewählt werden sollte
           - Paper by Sinisa Trisic Dr. Florian Schumacher
13:00  Lunch
14:15  Annual Meeting of Alumni Members with election of the Board
16:15  Coffe break
16:45  Occupational Cognitive Development: Über den Einfluss
           dysfunktionalen Denkens auf berufsbezogenes Erleben und Verhalten

           - Paper by Dr. Martin Sauerland (University of Koblenz-Landau)
19:30  Dinner and drinks Reception
