Quick start guide

Follow these instructions to get started...

Step One: Login Details

To access the Online Library resources, you need a username and password.

Students: you should have received your login details in a welcome email from the University of Wales. If you need assistance email gcsupport@wales.ac.uk.

Staff: if you are involved in the delivery of validated programmes and you need access to the Online Library resources, your name and email address should be added to the staff record for your Collaborative Centre. This must be done by a member of staff with administrative access to the University of Wales website.

Step Two: Logging In

Click on the log in button that appears in the menu bar at the top right of your screen. Enter the username and password that you received in your welcome email.

If you are logging in for the first time, you will be asked to change the temporary password that you received in your welcome email. When you have logged in successfully, you will be taken to your myWales dashboard - select the Online Library link from the menu bar at the top of the screen.

Step Three: Access Resources

From the Online Library homepage, choose your subject from the subject menu on the left of the screen. Each subject page contains links to all the resources for each subject area. The resources are divided by resource type into: ebooks, databases, ejournals and other resources. Click on the tabs to see which resources we offer for each subject.

If you are already logged in, you will be taken directly to the resource. If you are not already logged in, you will be asked to enter your username and password before being re-directed to the resource.
